I have been hearing in the press recently an awful lot about PAT testing, what PAT testing means Portable Appliance Testing. PAT Testing means getting a certified tester in to look at your electrical gear to make sure their are no any damaged leads or issues with it that could cause an electrical injury or fire.

The PAT testing company arrived and efficiently went round all of our pieces of equipment. They had a breakdown of all of the items in the workplace and went round PAT testing every piece on the list, the individual items where then given a sticker which showed the date they where checked and the month and year that they would need re-testing if they were okay and were flagged up if they discovered an issue.
